Product Description

If you need help deciding what solution is right for you, please read our article: How to have Satellite TV for your RV

Note: This kit is for the model H25 receiver. This kit will work with other model HD receivers for Directv but you cannot use a satellite finder with this kit because the "SWiM" technology requires a higher end satellite finder such as Birdog USB or Super Buddy. Pointing this dish can still be done effectively, it just requires that you look at your signal on the TV screen. You can do this yourself or by using help that can tell you when you have signal on the TV screen.

The Directv HD Satellite dish RV tripod kit from Satellite Oasis is the perfect cost effective solution for taking your Directv satellite service with you on the road. If HDTV is what you're after while traveling, this is the ticket. The kit comes with everything you need to get your satellite TV service on the road. All you need is your satellite receiver, your TV, and 120V power and you'll be ready to watch TV. Please note: This product is harder to point than an older style Directv 18 round satelltie dish. Reason being that this dish receives up to 3 satellites at once. If you don't need HDTV on the road, we suggest looking at getting our DTV18SKIT.

This dish will work with following Directv receivers models:

  • H20 through H25
  • HR20 through HR24
  • HR24
  • D12
  • R16 through R22

You will not receive HD signal if you have a non-HD receiver (any directv receiver model number that starts with "H" is High definition).

Product Features:

  • Portable Satellite Dish for Directv in HD
  • Device can be set up 50ft. from the RV for easy alignment away from trees (can be installed farther with longer coaxial cable lengths).
  • Includes the Directv 3 LNBF for HD Satellites: 99, 101, 103. Has 1 output for 1 receiver (multiple receivers can be added with use of a SWiM splitter [not included]).

  2. Works as Described and Simple to Setup

Posted by Unknown on 29th May 2014

Equipment was well packaged, simple instructions, and was relatively simple to setup. Would recommend product if looking for a portable DirecTV installation or for RV.

  3. Great product

Posted by Dan Beavor on 27th May 2014

It works really well and easy to set up. I do have one question for you guys. We bought this for our travel trailer and it already has digital TV ability. We thought that we could just plug in the satellite to the built in connection port on the outside of the trailer. It didn't work but if we bypassed the built in connection and went right to the receiver and it worked beautifully. I don't know what to do at this point. Is the cable for TV and the Cable for satellite different in any way??

  4. Great product

Posted by Lyn on 19th May 2014

Setup was fairly simple, directions were good but had to use you tube to fill in some blanks since I never really looked at a dish close up. Once setup was easy to use. Took it camping last week and was able to watch the race!

  5. Worked as stated

Posted by Ron on 11th May 2014

talk to customer service before buying. They directed me to the right product. Easy to set up and has good instructions. Works Great. The only con to this product is there are no leveling pads on the tripod. Had to make my own.
    I would recommend this product.

  6. Very good low cost kit

Posted by RONALD CURRER on 5th May 2014

Customer service directed me to the best product for my needs. Fast service. Kit was easy to setup and has good directions. Installer Oasis has a video on setup on Youtube.

  7. Great for the Money

Posted by Lowry Russell on 12th Apr 2014

Easy setup and works as expected. I was very happy with the quality and ease. The product was packed poorly for shipping and the dish was bent when it arrived. I don't have the time to send it back, so I fixed it myself. It is missing some paint now.

  8. Perfect for Tailgating

Posted by Ken on 19th Mar 2014

We bought this dish to use with our RV when we discovered no matter the cost fixed dishes on an RV don't work half the time due to obstructions. We wasted $2,500 on a paperweight Do yourself a favor and forget the roof mounted "automatic" systems you will only be disappointed and end up buying one of these for <$140. Following assembly, pointing only took around 3-5 min our first try. I used a small level, Direct TV HD box and just followed the menus, 1/2" wrench, and pair of pliers, compass and a partner. I was very impressed by how easy set up really is. Don't over complicate the process. Once you have the tri pod absolutely level with the dish settings for tilt and elevation dialed in all you do is use the HD Box and a friend watching as you swing the dish in small steps until he or she sees numbers and shouts out. Pause a second as the numbers on the screen populate. Then slowly turn dish 1\8 -1/4" at a time and listen for partner to give you a number and keep this up until you get 90% or better signal and you should be good. If not, check your settings and look for obstructions like trees etc., try relocating the dish. No need for fancy meters to tailgate this was way faster . My new Direct HD box even properly identified this dish for me during set up so all I had to due was display signal strength and turn my dish. Didn’t mess with dither, not required for my setup. My signal strength numbers were 95-100%. Location was Malibu California and clear view of the sky.

  9. Easy to use, pointing was easy

Posted by Dow K on 21st Oct 2013

Simple to use and affordable, and pointing the dish was easier than I thought it was going to be. I have used it twice in two different locations and both times it only took a minute to get a strong single 95% both times, just using the compass. I did make sure my stand was level.

  10. I'm technologically challenged and I managed to set it up in 30 minutes.

Posted by Unknown on 30th Sep 2013

I don't even have a smart phone. Just not very technology savy. I had a neighbor all lined up to come help me set it up but I thought I'd give it a shot on my own and the directions were very clear and exact. Within 30 minutes I was watching the cowboys vs chargers in HD using my tailgating satellite. Very pleased.
